i am your new creation

Inspired by the extraordinary team at Fullness…

During our Bible Boot Camp class, I wrote a paper on what it means to be a “new creation in Christ” and the Holy Spirit helped me write this poem at the end of it as encouragement…

So whether you have become a new creation recently or have been one for a long time…I encourage you to try reading it out loud!

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Praise be to God for the new life He gives us!

i am a new creation

thank you Lord God for this

the life giving power of your salvation

today, i receive a full acquittal of my past

releasing all the thoughts that made me feel last

because Lord Jesus’ blood is what freed us

our God sure spared nothing 

in his effort to redeem us

so my only response is to give my whole heart to the Lord

to hunger more and more and more

to know when i make mistakes i can repent

but that is no excuse to ever relent

in how much God, i will spend my life running after your heart

it was your sacrifice, grace and love that gave us all the beauty 

of this a new start

so help me Lord letting your Holy Spirit guide my way

leading me to the joy of this a new day

depending on you alone for my strength

because it was you alone who went to such great lengths

so we could share in this day of elation

where i shout to the world

i am free

i am joy

i mean Christ lives in me

my new life now truly is one of glory to glory

so Lord God, i want you to know 

that my heart is soooo full of your goodness 

as today i step into your fullness

of feeling everyday 

the depths of your unwavering adoration

as you cement in my new foundation

i rest easy knowing

today and everyday

i truly am your

new creation
